Goro Zaizen and Shuji Satomi are assistant professors at Naniwa University Hospital. Goro is a brilliant surgeon who will do anything to make his way up the corporate ladder. On the other hand, Shuji is a physician who earnestly devotes himself to medical research. Though the two doctors have contrasting personalities and are considered to be rivals, they highly recognize each other's skills.

The entire medical department is restless while preparing for the election to choose a new Surgical Department Professor. All Goro has on his mind, is how to win the election. Meanwhile, Shuji is looking after a patient who apparently has pancreatic cancer. He carries out tests on the patient cautiously, and is very careful in telling the patient of the cancer. However, Goro barges in on their conversation, and out of the blue, tells the patient he has cancer, and that he needs an operation right away. Shuji is furious at Goro's rude attitude, and yells, "Doctors are not God!" Goro ignores this, and starts laying the groundwork for the operation. But when Goro finds out that the Director of the Medical Department has already given a diagnosis of stomach cancer, he cancels the operation. He feels that pointing out his boss's misdiagnosis will only hurt him in the upcoming election. Shuji however, is determined to save the patient's life and go on with the operation. -- JDorama.com

Shinsuke Kuwano, a successful architect at 40, enjoys living by himself. He doesn't like people but somehow is able to design wonderful houses for them.

He has a routine of making himself a delicious dinner and then relaxing to classical music in his easy chair while pretending he is the conductor. One night, he plays the music loud enough to make his next door neighbor, Michiru Tamara knock on his door to complain. When Kuwano answers the door, he suffers a terrible stomach pain and collapses to the floor. Lucky for him, Michiru is nice enough to accompany him to the hospital, where he is treated by Dr. Natsumi Hayasake. He is really rude to Natsumi, but she is still determined to treat him.

Afterwards, Michiru and Natsumi become part of Kuwano's life. They make friends with Kuwano's colleagues Eiji and Maya Sawazaki. They all enjoy talking about how strange and eccentric Kuwano is. Is it possible that someone would ever want to marry him?

Скрытый текст - ревью с imdb:
Shinsuke Kuwano (Hiroshi Abe) is a good looking, and successful architect, but he's a nerd and doesn't enjoy the company of a woman. He runs his own office with his assistant Takashi (Eiji Murakami), and Maya Sawazaki (Reiko Takashima) who works for a general contractor's office that brings him clients. He always eats alone, sometimes rents a video, and hates to compromise when it comes to his work. There's nothing wrong about his person, or his personality except for the fact that he's somewhat socially retarded. One night he gets hit with a severe stomach ache. While he's suffering, his next door neighbor Michiru (Ryoko Kuninaka) comes to his condo to ask him to lower the sound of his stereo. She takes Shinsuke to a hospital that's run by his brother in law Yoshio (Toshinori Omi). There he meets Dr. Natsumi Hayasaka (Yui Natsukawa) who's working the graveyard shift. She wants to give him rectal examination, but Shinsuke refuses, and as soon as his pain subsides with the aid of medicine, he goes home without the permission of the doctor. But few days later on his 40th birthday, the pain returns, and he's sent back to the hospital. This time, Shinsuke is forced to submit to Natsumi's rectal probe. Natsumi and Shinsuke from then on starts to meet each other in strange coincidences, and without either of them recognizing, they start to fall in love.

What's superb about this comedy is that it goes deep into the modern day social culture of Japan. Each situational comedy is a reflection of people who lives in modern day Japan. You will understand why Japan is one of the few countries in the world where population is decreasing when you see this series.

Кому-нибудь уже что-то приглянулось?
